Ecrits Blogophilia Week 12.16 – Fade to a Dream
Hard Bonus: Include a Sabaton song title – Night Witches
Easy Bonus: Incorporate wind chimes and snapdragons
*******
Lullaby of wind chimes
Snapdragons sway
Bees hum and hover
your petal fold bed
Sleep little fairy
do not cry
The Night Witches watch over
keeping harm at bay
Fade to dream
while Mother’s whispers
echo through dark cover
of ebony sky
Sleep little fairy
do not cry
The Night Witches watch over
keeping harm at bay
Weightless wanders
hold you to his chord
golden slumber lover
surrender to the deep
Sleep little fairy
do not cry
The Night Witches watch over
keeping harm at bay

Ooooh, I love this, it’s so sweet and beautiful. The “weightless wanders” stanza is my favorite. I could see this a a beautiful bedtime picture book.
And I also had “night witches” as a possible prompt, but I couldn’t work it in. I’m glad you saw it and made it work 🙂

Thanks Lisa! Yeah that “Night Witches” song title jumped out at me right away. We always seem to be on the same page! haha. Love your vision for my words as well. 🙂
